Expected Outputs

• Development of a regional Air Quality Model (AQMS-Air Quality Modelling System) for Slovenia, Carinthia and Styria
• Mikroskale modelling in chosen target areas
• Modelling of reduction strategies/ future scenarios
• Specification of the so-called PM10 background regarding consideration of regional transport and secondary aerosols

Research focus in the regions:

• Maribor: traffic-related measures / environmental zones
• Klagenfurt: home heating and wood burning together with transport related policies
• Leibnitz and regional focus: the formation of secondary aerosols from the agriculture and the transport of particulate matter and analysis at regional level
